The Court Administrator for the Burlington Municipal Court is Marilyn Dite.
The Burlington Municipal Court is responsible for processing citations
Issued in violation of City Ordinances and some state statues by the Burlington Police Department. The court hears criminal cases set for arraignment, pretrial, trial or probation revocation.
Cases are not limited to but include:
· Criminal Traffic Cases such as Driving While Under the Influence (DUI). Negligent Driving 1st Degree, Driving While License suspended 1st, 2nd, or 3rd and other criminal traffic violations;
· Criminal, non-traffic cases such as Domestic Violence Assault, Theft 3rd, Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Trespass;
· Civil traffic infractions such as Speeding, Failure to Stop at Stop Sign, No Valid Operator's License or No Insurance;
· Other hearings held are charges such as Dogs at Large, Potentially Dangerous Dogs, Dangerous Dogs, and Parking.
Hours of Operation:
The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Court Calendar:
We have court on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month.
We also have scheduled Bench Trials/Jury Trials on the 4th Friday of each month.
