Bellingham, Whatcom County:
This past Friday officers made a mass arrested of 70 people for under-age drinking.
A search warrant yielded the under-age drinkers, as well as several potted marijuana plants. Young said several people were found hiding in the attic and the basement. Four 19-year-olds who rent the home were arrested on a variety of charges, including disorderly conduct and minor in possession of alcohol. Young said the officers that responded were part of an extra patrol effort to handle anticipated calls to service concerning loud parties, DUI's and disorderly conduct issues in neighborhoods and the central business district.
