Skagit County DUI News: Explosive DUI Crash in Sedro-Woolley, Skagit County
SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Skagit County. - Firefighters say a house near Sedro-Woolley in Skagit County exploded in flames Friday night after a car crashed into a propane tank at the residence.
The Washington State Patrol says the homeowner was in the house, in the 26600 block of Minkler Road, near Sedro-Woolley in Skagit County, at the time of the crash. He was able to escape without injury.
An investigation found that the car, a 1987 Ford Mustang, was heading west on Minkler Road when the driver lost control and veered off the roadway at about 8:15 p.m., crashing into the propane tank.
The Mustang was so badly charred that troopers were not immediately able to identify the make and model. The house was completely destroyed.
Troopers say drugs or alcohol are believed to be a factor in the crash, and DUI charges are pending against the driver.
