Is traffic enforcement emphasis a ruse to DUI emphasis? Further, is the traffic enforcement emphasis a way to obtain more grant funding to attack DUI drivers? The answer is, in part yes, of course!! The following is information on traffic enforcement performed by the City of Lynnwood. Not surprisingly most of these are observed when drivers are stopped in a DUI stop.

The Traffic Section participated in a number of selected traffic enforcement emphases. These emphases were designed to target specific areas and specific traffic violations throughout the City. Enforcement efforts were on speed, aggressive driving, red light, pedestrian and other accident causing violations.
