Skagit County DUI Attorney: Ignition Interlock License Application Process
If you have been unfortunate and have had your driver's license suspended by the Washington State Department of Licensing, then you have the option of applying for the Ignition Interlock License. A good option, but not a perfect one. If you apply for this license you must do it correctly to avoid having the application rejected and your ability to lawfully drive delayed. You can find details on how to apply at the following website: http://www.washdui.com/page.aspx?pageid=208&topic=Ignition+Interlock+License
In a nutshell do the following: 1) Apply for and get SR22 insurance (be sure proof is submitted to the DOL); 2) Get an ignition interlock license installed in your vehicle; 3) complete the Ignition Interlock License application and deliver it to the Department of Licensing with $200.
In approximately 2-3 weeks you'll have received a DOL Ignition Interlock License and you can lawfully drive.
