If you are one of the unfortunate ones and were arrested for DUI over the New Year's weekend, you may be wondering when you must appear in court. This depends on where you were arrested. For example, if you were arrested for DUI in Skagit County or Island County you most certainly will have to appear in court for your arraignment as early as tomorrow (but certainly this week). Likewise, if you were arrested for DUI in Lynnwood, Burlington, Anacortes, Edmonds, Marysville, Mukilteo, Mountlake Terrace or Everett (by City officers) you too will have to appear in court this week or the next available court date. However, if the Washington State Patrol or Sheriff's office arrested you for DUI in Snohomish or King County it will be weeks until you appear in court. Regardless, do be sure you mail the DOL driver's hearing request form to the DOL within 20 days.
