Snohomish County DUI Attorney: Cops are not your friends!

If you have consumed a couple of drinks and are driving late at night you should be concerned, very concerned.  Presently the State of Washington is focusing on DUI drivers in King County, Snohomish County and Skagit County.  This focus is called "Target Zero" and their only purpose is to arrest DUI drivers.  My office has recently seen cases in Snohomish County (Everett, Lynnwood and Marysville) and Skagit County (Mt Vernon, Burlington, and Anacortes) with BAC results less than the legal limit yet the driver was charged with DUI!  Be cautious out there.  Further, in a video just reviewed, Trooper Bart of the WSP (he works in the Snohomish County area but also occasionally moonlights in Skagit County) was heard to proclaim his disappointment that he has had too many 0.080 BACs recently (which would be easier to reduce to a non-DUI charge).  Moral of the story is if you drink any alcohol and drive you are presumed guilty – don't risk it!
