By Riley S. Lovejoy, Attorney at Law – The new DUI emphasis patrols aim to drastically reduce highway deaths (hence the name “Target Zero”), and were out in full force last night. The Washington State Patrol has teamed up with local law enforcement in Snohomish, King, and Pierce Counties to increase patrol and educate officers on where and how best to execute arrests of drunk drivers. Last night, a Target Zero team member arrested their first DUI suspect on I5 in Tukwila. Read the KOMO news story here.
