Skagit County DUI Cases: Deferred Prosecution

Deferred Prosecution:  If you are considering a deferred prosecution be aware of individual court rules and practices.

For Skagit County District Court DUI Cases (this included the City of Mount Vernon, Anacortes, and Burlington), you must do the following to have your deferred prosecution accepted by the court.

1.       Complete the alcohol/drug evaluation;

2.       Submit the proposed Petition, Order, and Statement of Petitioner to the Prosecuting Attorney for their review;

3.       Appear in court for the entry of the deferred prosecution.
