Island County District Court: Deferred Prosecution

Deferred Prosecution:  If you are considering a deferred prosecution be aware of individual court rules and practices.

For Island County District Court DUI Cases (this included the City of Oak Harbor), you must do the following to have your deferred prosecution accepted by the court.

1.       Complete the alcohol/drug evaluation;

2.       Submit the proposed Petition, Order, and Statement of Petitioner to probation;

3.       Meet with the probation officer who will interview you and approve or deny your petition for deferred prosecution;

4.       Appear in court for the entry of the deferred prosecution.
