Washington State DUI patrols on high alert this month

Washington State officials are describing the latest anti-DUI campaign, "Drive Hammered, Get Nailed," as the largest ever.  More than 170 police departments in Washington State, including King, Snohomish, Skagit, Island and Whatcom Counties, are taking part between Thursday (August 12, 2010) and the end of the Labor Day weekend.  The "Drive Hammered, Get Nailed" emphasis patrols started in 2006. Last year, more than 100 agencies participated.  The patrols are funded through a federal grant to the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.

You have been warned…again!
