NOT a Snohomish, Skagit, Island, Whatcom or King County DUI story - 12 year old girl to be charged with DUI

From the realm of the nearly unbelievable, a 12 year old girl in  Winona County, Minnesota, may be charged with DUI. The girl was driving a car that missed a curve, hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, hit a highway sign, and drove through a yard and into a garden.  To the surprise of the Sheriff, David Brand, was not only 12 years old but also was suspected of consuming alcohol.  The girl’s passenger was a licensed driver, 19-year-old Benjamin R. Repinski.  “Interestingly,” the pair (the 12 year old and the 19 year old) met at a party and that is when the 19 year old asked the 12 year old to drive him home.  The girl’s PBT reading was 0.09.
