King County DUI News: DUI Patrols Focus on Seafair

Law-enforcement officers will take to the water this weekend looking for people suspected of piloting a boat while under the influence of something other than the Seafair spirit.  Several agencies will be patrolling Friday through Sunday during the annual Seafair weekend activities on Lake Washington.  The Seafair DUI emphasis patrol will be homeported at Proctor Landing on Mercer Island.  A temporary 60-foot dock will be set up at the site to accommodate the marine-patrol units.  A Mobile Impaired Driving Unit, with three Breathalyzers and two holding cells, will be there, according to the State Patrol.
