Anacortes Skagit County DUI Attorney: Anacortes woman cited with DUI had child in car
On January 28th, 2010, a 50-year-old Anacortes woman was arrested on a charge of DUI after an Anacortes officer spotted her driving westbound on 22nd Street with her vehicles high beams on around 6:50 p.m. The Anacortes officer signaled her to turn the vehicle's headlights down but she failed to do so. The officer saw her turn onto H Avenue in Anacortes without signaling and then attempted to pull her vehicle over for two blocks before the vehicle stopped.
The woman showed obvious signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests. After releasing the young child who was a passenger in the car to a family member, Anacortes Skagit County officers arrested the woman and transported her to the police department for a breath test. Her breath alcohol content was more than double the legal limit.
