Washington State troopers and local police think they have a more effective, targeted way to stop drunk drivers.

"We've mapped it and looked at it and said 'Where are the highest concentrations of crashes that result in death or serious injury as a function of impaired driving," says Lowell Porter, Director of the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.
Officers will be on the roadways looking specifically for impaired drivers.
