On June 19th Anacortes officers stopped a 32-year-old Bellingham woman at Highway 20 and R Avenue around 9:38 p.m. after the Washington State Patrol and Anacortes Police got numerous calls about her poor driving. Her 2005 Dodge Neon allegedly struck a guardrail and was driving on a flat right front tire. She failed field sobriety tests and appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. A drug recognition expert from the State Patrol was called to investigate. She was arrested on a charge of DUI.
