Anacortes Skagit County DUI Lawyer: DUI driver stopped with children in car
On July 2nd in Anacortes an Anacortes police officer stopped a car in the 1500 block of Commercial Avenue to warn the driver about a burned out headlight around 2:47 a.m. The officer contacted the driver, a 31-year-old Anacortes man, who showed signs of intoxication. He failed sobriety tests and told officers he did not have a valid license. Officers noted there was an infant in the car and an 8-year-old boy.
The children's mother was also in the car and had been drinking. The driver was arrested on charges of DUI, driving with a suspended license and reckless endangerment. A family member was called to get the woman and children.
