King County DUI Lawyer: Suspected drunk driver crashes into furniture store
Olympia police have arrested a man who they say was drunk when he crashed his van through the front wall of Phyls Furniture early Thursday.
Police Sgt. Aaron Jelcick said the man was southbound on Lilly Road SE just after midnight and failed to stop at the "T" intersection with Pacific Avenue.
The man crashed his van through the wall and the vehicle came to a stop inside the store.
Jelcick said the man backed out and drove off, but witnesses were able to get his license plate.
Officers tracked the 46-year-old man down a short time later and arrested him for investigation of DUI and hit and run.
