Anacortes Skagit County DUI Lawyers: Man punched in mouth then arrested on an Anacortes DUI warrant

Anacortes Skagit County DUI Lawyers: Man punched in mouth then arrested on an Anacortes DUI warrant

On March 27th in Anacortes Skagit County, Anacortes Police Officers responded to a disturbance call in the 1500 block of K Avenue around 3:51 a.m. As they arrived they saw someone throwing large bags of trash out the door onto a lawn. Another man who appeared to have come from the residence told officers there was a guy running away down the alley. Officers contacted a 19-year-old Anacortes man in the alley. He was bleeding from the mouth and exhibited signs of intoxication.

Witnesses said the young man had been in the home drinking with several adults when he became belligerent. He was punched in the mouth by the 39-year-old man who resides at the home. In turn, the younger man picked up some garbage and threw it. The younger man declined to press assault charges but was issued an underage drinking citation. The older man had a warrant for failing to appear in court on a DUI charge. He was arrested and later released on his promise to appear in court.
