On August 1st in Anacortes, Skagit County an Anacortes police officer stopped a vehicle traveling at 35 mph in the 25 zone in the downtown area of Q Avenue at 2:13 a.m. and recognized the driver, a 26-year-old woman, from a group of people he saw milling around earlier in front of an establishment in the 300 block of Commercial Avenue. The officer noted at the time that several members of the group appeared intoxicated. The woman failed field sobriety tests. She was arrested and taken to the police department for a blood-alcohol test.
