GRAHAM, Wash. -- A 14-year-old skateboarder was struck and fatally injured by a suspected drunken driver in the Graham area Sunday afternoon.
The boy was struck about 5:30 p.m. in the 98000 block of 204th Street East, according to Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer. The boy was taken to Tacoma’s Mary Bridge Hospital, where he died.
The driver of the car was arrested at the scene, Troyer said.
The victim was a student at Bethel Junior High School.
